That´s beautiful! The eye somehow feels really alive, maybe because of the warm tones? Or more likely the fact that you can make just about any drawing look alive.
I love the leaves, did you depict any specific species?
Also the pink doesn´t look "pink" at all - by any other artist, a wolf with pink markings would count as "really-really-weird-and-stupid", but yours looks just beautiful.

I'm glad that the pink markings don't look 'really really weird and stupid,' and I was a bit worried about that too. But the wolf wanted pink.
I think the eye looks alive more because of the warm tones, I do think I invest a bit of time into thinking how to make the eye expressive, but a little bit of yellow and orange never goes astray. hehehe.
No specific species of hornbeam, a 'russian one,' lol, how vague of me. We don't have hornbeams in Western Australia, so I mainly went off internet images. *blush*

Daily Literature Deviations is a group that is dedicated to bringing literature to the forefront of the deviantArt community. We attempt to accomplish this by daily featuring Literature artists from around the community that deserve the recognition, but are not getting it.
Each day we will feature 10 deviations from the Literature categories in a News Article. In order to support the artists that we feature, we ask that you the news article as well as check out the individual pieces. We understand that each day you may not be able to check out each and every one of the pieces, everyone has their own things going on. We just ask that you make an attempt to help support the growing Literature community.
When it comes to community spirit, `Rushy is a shining example. From participating in devmeets, to providing positive encouragement to other artists, `Rushy can always be found demonstrating what it really takes to be a true deviant. It's without any hesitation that we are delighted to award the Deviousness Award for July 2009 to `RushyRead More

it's been like 6 or 7 years since I read that book, and that was only because I was writing it.
