Gilda and Pig-Footed Bandicoot by Ravenari Gilda and Pig-Footed Bandicoot by Ravenari
Gilda and the Pig-Footed Bandicoot
(full-view if you have the time and inclination)

I have DID, and occasionally I feel compelled to illustrate my alters as I see them / they see themselves. Meet Gilda.

Also, in this illustration, I've included representations of the extinct Australian Pig-Footed Bandicoot.

Reminds me very much of Frida Kahlo's style. Beautiful work :)

The level of detail in the piece is amazing (though you typically have an awesome level of detail). I really like the way you've done the amber necklace and, in particular, the pendant.

The face also reads with real emotion (the little downturned mouth gives the face an interesting ambiguity) and the pig footed bandicoots look cool. It is such a shame that they aren't around anymore.

Over all, I really like this piece, it's just so cool to see your DID people/parts/alters in this light. And I really appreciate hearing their background and getting to know them when I can.

There's something really nice about the weight in this piece, I think it's the way the delicate legs on the bandicoots contrast with the heavy body and features of the girl. Fantastic use of colour, as per usual.

I've been pinning some of your pictures on my workspace in university to inspire me. Just thought you might like to know.

I wish those bandicoots weren't extinct! As always the level of detail is jaw-dropping
