Dragon of Snails by Ravenari Dragon of Snails by Ravenari
OOOOO my first digital piece!!! EEE! Actually, this is my second digital piece ever (the first went onto LiveJournal and was scary looking).

So...

Dragon of Snails

my first digital piece combines two of my favourite things, snails and dragons!!! :)

Oh - photoshop CS2. It took... a while, mainly because I was learning as I was going.

This must be like one of my Super-Power Totems~ Love this immensely!! Snails and Dragons are my favorites also and are of major totemic resonance.. this is like the Primordial Grand Matri/Patriarch of Cosmic Snail Dragons! ♥ ♥ ♥

This is beautiful, and so unique! My parents and I have been collecting dragon art for years, so it takes something special to catch my eye anymore. This truly is amazing. I would buy a print in a heartbeat.

Glittery! Oh, the snails are wonderful, and the leaves are actually probably the best part of the piece, weird as that might sound. I like the snailishness of the dragon, too!

Hey, wonderful! And for a (almost) first, it´s even more wonderful! I´m on my first ever digital piece, too - but that´s just awful and I´m still considering whether to put it up or burn it. Digitally.

Anyways, the fur on the dragon looks really cute and I just love the snails! The leaves with the little shinies really take me in.

I got a Wacom, too!

You bet! :D I´m still trying to get used to it... But it feels so safe, not having to worry about making mistakes as I can easily fix them. Yet it doesn´t quite feel as good, so I´m sticking with traditional art, too.

yes!! that's exactly what it's like. Wacom is heaps of fun, but at the same time I get a real sort of wholesome, awesome feeling from traditional art too. I'm doing a traditional art piece at the moment and there's something gratifying about knowing you can only work in 'one layer' and make no mistakes. :)
