Getting back to basics with a good old-fashioned totem picture of a non old-fashioned totem!

This picture is now available as a print. :) And a better quality scan too.

The picture is available for download , so I let myself use it on my wiki for whales in the gallery dedicated to beluga. Exactly in the art department .

thank you, and yeah, there are a *lot* of orca drawings out there (I even have one in my own gallery of orca as totem), but I like a lot of the lesser known animals too. :)

indeed, i'm still getting used to prismas, and only have the standard 12 colours, but i love them. they are crayon-ey, and i feel like a kid when using them.

Hehe I love how smooth and vibrant their colors are. I got both the 72 and 120 set because I've used up all the ones in the 72 haha. Have fun with them, cause I sure did. I've found that the white can be used as a blender (press hard over other colors) to create smooth, non-grainy, color layers if you wish. I do that all the time. Course, instead of using up the white pencil, I've gone ahead and gotten the art sticks too, which make filling in large areas with color a lot easier and faster. I mostly use the white in that for blending.

Oh, that's just gorgeous! I like how you stayed with lighter colors, it plays off the white really nicely. I do love belugas. :)

Very pretty. Reminds me a little of the whale pic you did a while back. It's so vivid, I love it.
